Jimmie is a native of Fort Lauderdale and is the owner of Frank & Jimmie's Propeller, which was established in 1947. He is a recipient of both the MIASF Award of Excellence and the Golden Anchor Award

Jimmie, at six years old, worked his first boat show at Pier 66 in 1965. Since becoming owner of Frank & Jimmie’s in 1992, he has grown the company, adding locations in: Miami, The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Nassau. He was also the founding partner of Neptune Boat Lifts, which manufactures boat lifts in Fort Lauderdale.

Jimmie is also a board member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Council of Economic Advisors, a board member and Enhancement chairman of the Winterfest Boat Parade.  

He has served on many industry and civic boards including as past Chairman of the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Marine Advisory Board and past President of the National Marine Propeller Association. 

He is a long-time participant and sponsor of the Broward County Waterway Clean Up, Plywood Regatta, Habitat for Humanity, and most recently the “Design, Build, and Race Your Propeller” event. An avid boater and offshore racer, he was a 5-time National Champion in the Super Stock class.
