Working closely with regional planners, elected officials, and regulatory agencies is a core value of membership and members receive regular alerts and updates on targeted legislative issues. Advocacy efforts are advanced through MIASF leadership and committee members.
Professional Development & Identification
Identifying as a member of MIASF and using the association logo in communications, on company websites, signage, displays, and publications shows involvement with a professional organization known for focusing on the interests of the marine community and boating public. Participation in meetings and conferences help businesses keep abreast of important industry issues, programs, and developments.
Job Search & Recruitment
An electronic job board on the MIASF website helps member companies find qualified workers. Through its YouTube video series, Salty Jobs, MIASF offers member companies an opportunity to showcase specific jobs and career paths available in the marine industry and includes information on salary ranges and any required certification or licensing. The video series, which is sponsored by the Captain Sandy's Charities. We also participate in job fairs and career fairs.
