The Chris Hixon Memorial Run/Walk took place on a beautiful morning on February 15th. The 5K run, organized by South Broward High School Marine Magnet Coordinator, Debbi Hixon, honored the memory of her late husband Chris Hixon, a victim of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that took place on February 14, 2018. MIASF’s digital media and outreach coordinator, Megan Piggott, took home a first-place medal in her bracket for running the 5K in 4:40. Don’t let her fool you, Megan’s got mad skills!
