Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and maintain workplace safety standards and report hazards immediately
- Coordinate annual fire extinguisher service and maintain stocked medical kits
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, offices, restrooms, and exterior areas
- Perform routine upkeep, including sweeping, mopping, painting, minor repairs, and facility maintenance
- Monitor lighting, doors, locks, gates, AC systems, leaks, and other facility concerns
- Oversee maintenance schedules for company vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and shop equipment
- Inspect vehicles and equipment for damage, wear, and proper operation
- Organize tools, extension cords, hoses, ladders, equipment, and shop supplies
- Assist technicians with shop tasks, troubleshooting, equipment use, loading/unloading, parts pickup, deliveries, and job site support
- Help prepare materials and equipment for upcoming jobs
- Secure the facility at the end of the day and confirm the shop is clean, organized, and hazard-free
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should be hands-on, organized, reliable, and able to support both facility operations and the technician team in a fast-paced marine service environment.
Requirements and preferred qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a shop foreman, facilities, or operations support role preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills preferred
