Description
Position Summary: As a Marine Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Yamaha outboard engines and related systems. The ideal candidate will have Yamaha certification, a solid understanding of 12V marine systems, and experience with rigging and diagnostics. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and values continuous learning. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair Yamaha outboard engines (Mercury experience is a plus) Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and inspections Mount and rig outboards on new and used boats across all major brands Install and service 12V electrical systems and accessories Use Yamaha diagnostic software and tools efficiently Install and repair hydraulic steering systems Maintain inventory of parts and materials used Provide accurate labor/time estimates for repair jobs Water test and inspect boats to verify performance and repairs Stay up to date with factory training and certifications Maintain a clean and organized work area Interact professionally with customers and team members
