Danielle Butler’s law practice focuses on transaction and litigation matters for yachts, jets, fine antiquities and luxury assets. She is the Managing Partner of Luxury Law Group and the current President Emeritus of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida which owns the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Danielle has extensive experience handling the full range of transaction matters, including the purchase, sale, financing, new construction, chartering, leasing, and registration of domestic and foreign assets. She also negotiates and drafts all contracts related to the purchase, sale, construction, chartering, employment concerning the asset. Danielle regularly counsels’ clients on ownership structures, state tax consequences, federal import duty, liability exposure and compliance with U.S. laws and international treaties.
When a dispute arises, Danielle represents clients in litigation, mediation and arbitration proceedings involving the asset ownership, including but not limited to, breaches of contract, brokerage commissions, insurance coverage, asset seizure and arrests, repossessions and foreclosures.
Also a licensed pyrotechnician, Danielle has long been involved in her family’s business. Established in 1850, Fireworks by Grucci today produces more than 300 performances annually. Therefore, Danielle also handles matters concerning explosives and fireworks.
Danielle is a Board Member of the Broward Workshop. She is a published author and lecturer on maritime legal issues. She is the General Counsel for the Superyacht Network, former Board Member of the International Superyacht Society; former Vice-Chair of the Admiralty Bar Committee for Florida, and former General Counsel of the Young Professionals in Yachting.
Danielle both resides and works in Fort Lauderdale along with her two long-haired Chihuahuas, Toby and Blaze.
