The November Member Connect event will be on November 17th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Flagship Room at the MIASF Office (221 SW 3rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312). This month’s event will feature a panel discussion on the topic of marketing with panelists representing different marketing specialties. Over light bites and drinks, attendees will learn from marketing experts the latest tips, tricks, and information, on how to best continue to build their relationships with leads captured this past month at FLIBS, engage with their audience on social media, and continue to activate their brands in engaging ways. Additionally, as we we enter the holiday season and remember the say ''tis better to give than to receive' we will be holding a food drive benefitting the Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center to help them pack their pantry in preparation for the holiday season. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring food donations to our office prior to the event or when you come to the event.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 3-8 is continuing to host their monthly Boat America – Boating Safety Course. This month, the class will take place on Saturday, November 13th at the MIASF Office from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The topics of the class include introduction to boating, boating law, safety equipment, safe operation and navigation, boating emergencies, trailering, and sports and boating and provides the knowledge needed to obtain a boating certificate. The cost of the course is $50 and space in the class is limited. You must register for the class by Thursday, November 11th and can do so clicking here. Check in begins at 8 am and lunch is provided.
 
In observance of Thanksgiving, the MIASF office will be closed Monday, November 22nd – Friday, November 26th. We will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, November 29th. The MIASF team wishes you a wonderful time to give thanks over good food and quality time with family and friends. However you plan to celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at MIASF!
 
SAVE THE DATE! The Marine Industry Holiday Party will return as an in-person party on Tuesday, December 14th. Hosted with fellow industry associations – International Superyacht Society, International Yacht Brokers Association, U.S. Superyacht Association, and Young Professionals in Yachting, this annual party is a highlight for our industry to all come together and celebrate the season in a joyous way and give back to our community with our traditional toy drive benefitting the Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center. More details will be released about this event in the weeks to come that you are NOT going to want to miss.
