DON’T FORGET! Saturday, March 2nd is the 42nd Broward County Waterway Cleanup. Choose from a list of 38 cleanup sites online at www.waterwaycleanup.org, put on some closed-toed shoes and sunscreen and help clean up the County from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thousands of volunteers will descend on local parks, marinas, and inland waterways for the yearly exercise that will result in the collection of about 30 tons of trash and debris. Whether they arrive on foot, boat, canoe, kayak, or paddleboard, these dedicated volunteers, some of whom have participated in every Waterway Cleanup since its inception, are true stewards of our land and water resources. We hope you’ll join them in the cleanup and celebrate afterward at the Trash Bash – MIASF’s volunteer thank you party.
