Featured Job: Lewis Marine - Warehouse/Driver 1

The Warehouse/Driver 1 position is responsible for performing an array of duties in a distribution warehouse, such as receiving and processing incoming product, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, scheduling and performing cycle inventory counts, and driving company delivery van as needed.  The Warehouse/Driver 1 may interact with customers as they arrive to pick up Will Call orders or while making scheduled deliveries in the company van.   Computer equipment will be used during daily tasks.  Other related duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

-Familiar with UPS, FedEx, USPS and other shipping companies
-Familiar with e-mail and internet operations, as well as basic computer knowledge
-Exhibits excellent communication skills with strong work ethic
-Exhibits initiative by identifying areas for improvement and presenting solutions to management
-Exhibits strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
-Exhibits ability to maintain a clean and safe warehouse working environment, in accordance with safety regulations
-Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

DUTIES

-Pick, Pack, and Ship product using common carrier services (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
-Count and record inventory on cycle counts.
-Stage customer will call orders and delivery shipments.
-Schedule and complete daily cycle counts
-Operate warehouse equipment as needed, including forklift; must be able to pass related testing for required licensing or certification.
-Conduct regular checks and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklift if applicable, and complete necessary inspection forms.
-Inspect incoming product for receiving.
-Receive product into the computer system
-Put away product that has been received into assigned zone location
-Deliver packages using company van to assign accounts as needed
-Perform facilities maintenance as assigned.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

-High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3+ Related shipping-receiving experience.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English.
