MIASF Attends Dealer Week

MIASF’s Vice President, Lori Wheeler, represented the association at Dealer Week, the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas (MRAA) Conference and Expo in Austin, Texas. MIASF is a proud supporter of this annual event and was once again a co-host of the conference. Among some of the many breakout sessions, seminars, and discussion groups Lori attended, two highlights for her was the opening keynote from best-selling authors, Chester Elton & Adrian Gostick , and the breakout session “Dealer Cast Study: Support & Retain Your Techs” with Yvonne Lieblein to gain insight into workforce challenges and help spark ideas on continuous improvement of our apprenticeship program. Sharing challenges, ideas, and insights in our industry is how we can best come together to grow and overcome any obstacles facing us and Dealer Week creates a great platform to do so. Lori was also joined briefly by MIASF team member, Patience Cohn, as they both attended the Advisory Council of Marine Associations’ (ACMA) at the conference. This working group is comprised of state, regional, and national marine trade associations who meet to collaborate on current state and federal legislative priorities relevant for our industry.
