Reilly Edgar: I am originally from Park City, Utah. Growing up in a land locked state, my passion for the ocean grew out of visiting Sanibel Island, Florida every year. I continued to explore this passion through service and volunteer work abroad throughout high school, culminating in my semester abroad junior year at The Island School in Cape Eleuthera, The Bahamas. My time abroad solidified my love for marine science and set me on the track to the University of Miami, where I am currently studying Marine Affairs. Looking to the future, I plan to bridge the gap between marine science and actual ocean policy and business. I’m so excited to be working directly in my field of interest for the Marine Industries Association of South Florida.
Travis Nykanen: I am a sophomore at Florida Atlantic University working towards getting a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I hope I will be able to design and create my own vehicles someday (still trying to choose between Aerospace and Oceanic Engineering). Outside of school, I am one of three siblings and enjoy early morning bike rides. Go Owls!
