Congratulations to MIASF Intern, Megan Piggott, for winning the 2019 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship Elite 90 award! The announcement was made at the Elite Eight banquet in Columbus, Ohio, where the Nova Southeastern University women’s basketball team was preparing to play against the number one ranked Drury Panthers. Megan has already earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in sport management with a 4.0
cumulative GPA, is currently working on her MBA, and continues to impress with a 4.0 graduate GPA. According to NSU’s website, the Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the studentathlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.
