Join our exciting team as a Water Taxi Captain and navigate the waters while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our passengers. As the face of our water taxi service, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the vessel, providing a fun and memorable experience for our guests. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Safe Vessel Operation:** Ensure the safe operation of the water taxi at all times, maintaining a constant lookout and adhering to all navigational rules. - **Passenger Experience:** Provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for passengers, ensuring their safety during loading and unloading. - **Crew Management:** Lead the crew with enthusiasm, ensuring they are in proper uniform, courteous, and professional. - **Equipment Maintenance:** Conduct regular checks and maintenance of navigational and operational equipment to ensure everything is in top condition. - **Communication:** Maintain clear communication with the crew and other vessels using VHF channels 09 & 16 and company radios. - **Compliance:** Keep accurate records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. - **Training:** Engage in maneuvering exercises and ongoing training to enhance navigational skills.

Qualifications for Boat Captain

- Possess a valid TWIC card. - Hold an appropriate United States Coast Guard License for passenger vessels on Inland Waters 50-ton and higher. - FCC license required. - CPR certification - Ability to work flexible hours as needed. - Physically capable of lifting a 5-gallon bucket of oil up and down a ladder. - Eligible to serve alcohol under Florida law.
