Job Description for Crew Placement Agent/Crew Recruiter

About the Role: Are you wildly successful at matching people and jobs? We seek an experienced crew recruiter who sees successful client relations as paramount. This position will provide crew placement services for our superyacht clients; this covers all aspects of crew placement, from new recruits to the more seasoned crew members, working across all departments, including interior, galley, deck, and engineering. The role is a hybrid position split between home and our Fort Lauderdale office (each 2 to 3 days per week) but requires flexibility depending on the needs of the business. About Us: Reardon Yacht Consulting is a friendly, high-touch, service-oriented company serving the large yacht community. Our philosophy is that our business is "a lot about yachts, but more about people." It's a unique twist on property management based on the safety and practical side of operating luxury yachts. Required Responsibilities: • Building and nurturing new and existing relationships with our clients. • Writes captivating job ads and posts positions on internal and external sites. • Assists with maintaining the Applicant Tracking System and updates job requirements and job descriptions before posting. • Utilizes tools such as Yotspot, LinkedIn, Indeed, and others to provide proactive sourcing and engagement with external talent. • Actively sources and engages with passive talent to create a pipeline for quickly filling open positions. • Conducts timely and thorough resume reviews and effective screening calls. • Identify, attract, and interview suitable candidates while maintaining excellent communication. • Forwards all viable candidates to business partners and assists business partners in selecting the most qualified talent. • Ensures a high level of service and communication regarding all openings to business partners. • Administers background checks, reference checks, and additional pre-employment steps as necessary. • Coordinates with business partners to assist with making employment offers. • Develop and maintain business opportunities for the growth and expansion of the company through business development. • In-house marketing through our social media platforms, producing content and responding to inquiries received through these platforms. • Crew database expansion, management, and enhancement • Attendance at industry and crew events, including boat shows. • Responsible for identifying and meeting KPIs and other recruiting metrics.

Qualifications for Crew Placement Agent/Crew Recruiter

Ideal Skills & Experience: • 2+ years of prior experience in recruitment. • Knowledge of yacht crew and certification. • Strong "spirit to serve" the needs of internal customers and the "will to excel" in area of expertise. • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Must be a team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite and Database Management tools is necessary, as is familiarity with industry-specific websites and apps. • The most successful candidates will be target-driven, motivated self-starters with a natural ability to work under their initiative, with proven time and task management skills • Must be focused and willing to work extended hours to achieve personal, departmental, and company goals. • Active in listening and understanding the needs of our clients.
