Job Description for Rigger Technician
Tender Rigging Technician is responsible for rigging and assembling all tender brands and models. The Rigging Technician's focus is to start and finish a boat from scratch. Responsibilities: Rig and assemble tenders as directed by service manager. unpack and stage the boats in designated rigging bay. Perform work such as: ? inflate and clean boats ? hang and rig engine (engine harness, fuel lines, throttle cables, EXCT) ? rig and install any needed electrical components and accessories (GPS, audio systems, bilge pump, navigation lights, EXCT) Demonstrates timely, high-quality completion of new and used boats for delivery. Maintains a safe & environmentally friendly work environment. Safely operates and maintains company equipment. Provides excellent customer service and delivery experience. Processes paperwork in an accurate timely manner, including reporting time. Maintains and protects the interior and exterior of the boat during the preparation process. Notifies Service Manager when boats are completed and ready for delivery. Coordinates with Parts Manager on parts and equipment added to ensure timeliness. Supports execution of boat shows, store & off- site events Operate a hydraulic jack or hoist as needed. Operate forklift as needed. Complete rigging work utilizing the service scheduler and SSOs within the established time frame. Safely operate NVPC’s and customer's vessels during diagnostic water testing operations. Maintain NVPC tools in good condition and according to guidelines. Help the team unload and store tenders when delivered to the warehouse. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications for Rigger Technician
High school diploma or GED equivalent. 1+ years’ experience required. Experience with marine electronics and accessories Experienced Marine outboard tech. Mercury or Yamaha outboard certification. Timely and accurate completion of work. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google suite, or related software.
