Job Description for Marine Travelift Operator
Conduct Company operations as directed, including but not limited to: Vessel Haulout, Blocking, and Launching using the Company 250T Travelift and 100T Travelift. Ensure equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner, including all yard mechanical equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, etc, and jackstands, blocks, and related equipment and including the pressure washing and recycling systems. Perform normal maintenance and cleaning of the equipment per Manufacturer’s recommendation. Maintain Company Policies as relates to Employment, Safety, Environmental Protection, Security, and overall maintenance of the Facility. Training and familiarization with standard marine practices for blocking and stands as needed to ensure proper blocking is maintained. Report irregular haulout activity, blocking, or any other issues to a supervisor to minimize Company liability. Work with other employees as assigned to meet the schedule required for Travelift operations and other yard work as assigned. Provide availability for extended hours in the event of a hurricane threat to meet the increased demand for Travelift operations. Address customers with courtesy to develop customer relationships and encourage a friendly atmosphere for employees, owners, captains, and crew. Assist Management with Company general operations including general cleaning and maintenance of the facility and landscaping and special projects as needed. Obey Company operational policies and best practices including participating in training for safety and environmental issues and working to increase efficiency as best possible.
Qualifications for Marine Travelift Operator
Marine Travelift or similar Boat Hoist: 2 years but not required. Vessel Haulout, Blocking, and Launching using the Company 250T Travelift and 100T Travelift.
