Job Description for Parts department assistant

• Entering daily shop consumables for invoicing on Parts List/Programs • Assist with receiving incoming shipments and labeling/shelving parts for the shop and/or inventory. • Sort and label hydraulic fittings and caps/plugs for the inventory. • Keep a daily inventory of tools being checked in and out to technicians. Inspects tools upon check in. • Issue and keep track of keys to company vehicles and fork lifts • Acts as backup to the Parts Manager in inventory tasks. • Assists the Parts Manager in processing/ordering the weekly stock orders. • Must have a valid driver’s license for part pick ups using company vehicles. • Performs other related duties as assigned • Must be able to use your personal cell phone for work related calls and photos. • Maintains a professional appearance. • You will be responsible for being ready to work at 07:30 AM. • Employees are responsible for having satisfactory attendance and being in good standing.

Qualifications for Parts department assistant

• Proficient and knowledgeable with all Microsoft programs and other computer skills. • Good communicator, good listener. Ready to learn. • Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion. • Ability to take direction and work on a team. • Ability to learn and use measurement tools such as calipers and tape measures. • Ability to understand fractions and learn basic hydraulic hose identifiers
