About Our Company: Everglades Diesel Fuel Injection Service, Inc., is a 54-year-old privately-owned business that specializes in the repair/rebuild and parts sales for: o Diesel fuel injection pumps o Diesel fuel injectors (mechanical & electronic) o Diesel turbo chargers (marine & truck) o Diesel fuel systems parts distribution We are a Central Distributor for BOSCH diesel fuel injection system parts and Dealer for many other well-known manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Delphi, Denso, Garrett, Stanadyne, and others. We are mainly focused on the marine industry and our customers are typically the engineers or mechanics for small to mid-sized vessels both U.S. based and abroad. We are considered an “essential business” and were able to operate normally during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.
Qualifications for Front Counter/Customer Service Representative
Ideal candidate will be bi-lingual in English & Spanish (required) and have an auto parts or diesel parts background in parts sales, customer service, or diagnosis of engine problems (preferred). Candidate must be open to learning about the diesel fuel injection industry and will be taught the many different facets of the business while on the job. This position is a true customer-facing role and requires exceptional customer service skills in person and on the phone. Must be adept at handling multiple customers at one time and be able to handle taking customer payments of all payment types. Must have a friendly, helpful demeanor is required with a sales-oriented style of working with customers as well as a team player with our 12-person team. A basic understanding of Windows computer systems such as Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Must be adept at learning new Windows-based accounting and inventory systems which will enable the creation and editing of customer estimates and invoices. Ability to compose and send emails in English and Spanish a must. Knowledge of credit card payment systems is helpful. This position will require standing and walking for up to 7 hours per day and will require the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
