SALARY RANGE: $15.00 per hour to $30.00 per hour

Job Description for Plumbers and Marine Technicians

Job Duties include, but are not limited to: -Remove, Service & repair CuNi, aluminum, Stainless, Cpvc, and various pipes. -Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls. -Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks. HVAC troubleshooting and repair on Yacht Watermaker service and installation. -Proficiency in pipe type & manufacture Propress, Sea Press, CuNi, Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, fusion Uponer pipe and fittings Mepla, European Pex al Pex. -Identify the required tools and special equipment needed for project. -Select the size and type of pipe required for the job. hydrostatic valve class approved valve testing Install through hull fitting and sea cocks Rebuild and repair valves and sea cocks. -Piping marine sanitation systems, raw water systems, fuel systems, fresh water systems. Install pipe assemblies, fitting, valves, appliances such as dishwashers using hand or power tools. -May be asked to clean up the work area and work in different crews when the work is slow or there is a shortage of workers on other crews Fabricate and design pipe hangars. -Test and groom piping systems – Know systems and good shipyard practices Work with all materials and sizes of pipe and tubing. -Install plumbing fixtures and tie-ins – Mechanical abilities. -Good, pipe-fitting and plumbing practices, care in installation Use materials appropriate to systems and existing conditions. -Work with all types of pipe joints, welded, screwed, soldered, glued, and all types of materials; copper, CuNi, NiCu, Cres, Steel, etc -

Qualifications for Plumbers and Marine Technicians

Honest and trustworthy. Possess cultural sensitivity and awareness. Flexible. Demonstrate sound work ethics. Must be able to work operational hours. Ability to travel if necessary. Reliable and Responsible Physical Demands: Maneuvering in tight places, uneven floors Climbing up and down ladders, ramps, and stairs Standing for long periods of time Occasionally requires twisting, turning, bending, climbing, and walking over uneven surfaces Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb. Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs. continuously. Lifting objects weighing over 50 lbs. with assistance
