Plywood Regatta, April 11-12 in Dania Beach. The Plywood Regatta honors the craft of boat building and the excitement of recreational boating in an effort to encourage marine education and develop students’ interest in the marine industry. Local middle and high school students build boats using specific materials supplied to them and then race in them in a series of heats to determine a champion.
