MIASF Member Meeting
The MIASF Board of Directors has proposed modernizing the association bylaws by updating state and federal regulations, employee titles, board titles, and event dates to coincide with current operations. To vote on the bylaws updates, you must attend the business luncheon meeting being held at the Lauderdale Yacht Club on January 24, 2017 at 11:30 a.m., or have submitted a proxy in advance. Additional topics being discussed at the business luncheon meeting will include an explanation of the benefits of the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) designation with FTZ Consultant Gary Goldfarb, and updates on the FEC/All Aboard Florida proposed bridge closure. The cost of the luncheon is $25.
40th Anniversary Broward County Waterway Cleanup Kick-Off Party
Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 2nd for a Kick-Off Party and Press Conference for the 40th Anniversary of the Broward County Waterway Cleanup! Join us at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to receive updates on cleanup sites, register to volunteer, and learn about sponsorship opportunities. Each year the Broward County Waterway Cleanup attracts thousands of volunteers from neighborhoods and communities throughout the county, and people of all ages come out in boats and along the shores to clean debris from the waterways.
All volunteers will receive an official WWCU T-shirt and invitation to the Trash Bash after-party event. The cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, March 4th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the Trash Bash immediately following. Volunteers must be 14 years of age to be on site without an 18+ adult.
