Former captain Todd Weider was at FLIBS with a client and he was having trouble getting more information on several boats they liked. He thought, “wouldn’t it be great if there was a code on these boats that anybody could text to a phone number? A message could then be returned with a link that could include specs, a 3D tour, charter info or whatever, and saved to my phone. Then, if I liked what I saw, I could reply now or in the future and a real person could receive my request via text and instantly call or text me on the spot and arrange to view or further discuss the vessel, etc.”
