Frank & Jimmie’s Propeller has hired Don MacRae as its new president and chief operating officer. MacRae, who was director of subcontractor operations at Rybovich and has worked as a captain and engineer, will focus on driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost throughout Frank and Jimmie’s.

Yacht Repairs and Maintenance has opened a new 5,000-square-foot facility to house its expanding crane and davits division. The new shop, located up the street from its current 10,000-square-foot complex at 3295 S.W. 11th Avenue, will fabricate YRM’s Ocean Series of aluminum davits with lift capacities of 1,000, 1,200 and 1,500 pounds.

Palladium Technologies has bid farewell to Richard Lamos, director of engineering, who has retired after five years with the company. He will be replaced by Glenn Cox, a South African native with electrical and electronics engineering degrees who has honed his people and project management skills while working on projects around the world.

Boating Times has launched Boating Times Fort Lauderdale, which published its inaugural issue this month. The magazine provides Fort Lauderdale boaters with tips and articles about how to have fun on their boats.

RoboVault has hired Pam Stolarz as business development manager for corporate and specialty services. Stolarz, who previously worked at Bank United and has more than 35 years in business development and managerial experience, will be tasked with developing and fostering new opportunities for RoboVault in the tri-county area.

Updates 200x200 has hired Mia Prieto as its new sales manager. Prieto has more than 15 years of experiences working with tour operators, an airline, theme parks and cruise lines, and she previously worked at a luxury hotel company servicing group accounts.

On June 21, Nova Southeastern University and the Guy Harvey Research Institute have spaces available to the public on a hands-on shark-tagging excursion. AccuDock has completed a one-of-a-kind 10-lane floating dock at Nathan Benderson State Park in Sarasota designed to accommodate regattas and rowing competitions at the park’s 500-acre lake. A combination of heavy-duty aluminum dock sections and low-profile rowing dock sections were used in the 425-foot start dock, which features adjustable aligner planks that pivot vertically and retractable finger docks that slide in and out to accommodate varying shell lengths.

OceanLED’s U.S. Superyacht Division has appointed Katelyn Ambrose as its account manager for the Southeast, Alabama and Gulf Coast. Ambrose, who has 10 years of project management and customer service experience in the hospitality industry, will be responsible for further strengthening sales as well as supporting existing customers in her region.

Berger Commercial Realty has brokered the $8.9 million purchase of the 36,000-square-foot Harbor Place office building at 1600 S.E. 17th St. in Fort Lauderdale by the Resolve Marine Group, and it will lease and manage the building. Berger has also welcomed veteran real estate professional Michael Feuerman, Esq., CCIM, as managing director of its Palm Beach County office.

Chef Karen Chin has recently become the head chef at the Galley Café at the Roscioli Yachting Center. Chin, who studied at Le Cordon Bleu and has been in the yachting industry for more than 20 years, previously was the assistant chef at the cafe.

Lauderdale Small Boat Club in Fort Lauderdale is hosting its Dad’s Dolphin Daze fishing tournament on June 20. The award ceremony and Father’s Day Fish Fry is on June 21 starting at 11 a.m. Visit for more information.
