The new 125’ (38m) raised pilothouse motor yacht is the latest addition to Westport’s series of production yachts, again exuding technical excellence enhanced by timeless style with crisp exterior contours and a contemporary inviting interior.

“Launching a new yacht is always an exciting achievement for the entire Westport family,” explains Alex Rogers, Director of sales “This particular launch makes us feel very proud because it is the new flagship in the series, and our most advanced yacht built to date.”

Currently undergoing extensive sea trials, the yacht will be delivered to its new owner and head south to make its world debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, November 3 – 7, 2016.

Since 1964, Westport has taken a long-term view of the future and has invested heavily in personnel, design, naval architecture, infrastructure, engineering, and proven technologies to secure its position at the forefront of the industry. Westport currently builds luxury motor yachts 112’, 125’, 130’ and 164’, in Washington State.

Frank and Jimmie’s New Hire

On August 10th Kellen Villa joined Frank & Jimmie’s as a Customer Service Representative-In-Training at its Fort Lauderdale location.

In her new role reporting to Sales Manager Charlie Boyd, Kellen will train as a Customer Service Representative while managing special projects in Shipping & Receiving and Schedule and Report Management to provide higher levels of service to Frank & Jimmie’s customers. She brings valuable experience in the marine industry as a previous service coordinator at Apex Marine, fleet service writer for Yacht Management South Florida, and showroom coordinator at Williams Tenders USA.

“We are very excited to have Kellen join our team,” said Don MacRae, President and COO of Frank and Jimmie’s Propeller, “while providing an opportunity for growth and development for someone committed to our industry.  In addition to our primary efforts of the last year – Safety, Quality and On-time Delivery – recruiting, hiring, training and retaining good people, at all levels of our organization, is a top priority.”

Kellen is a native Floridian, born and raised in Pompano Beach.  As a child, she sailed throughout the Abacos with her family in the summer, spending most of her time on the water.  She is very excited to be working at Frank and Jimmie’s and says she “already feels like a part of the family.”

Lauderdale Marine Center

LMC has taken a space that was originally used as storage for trailers, excess boat parts, and equipment – essentially a dead space, and has turned it into a productive space that will provide work for five vessels, additional jobs for sub-contractors, and a clean environment for all.

An overview of the new construction area includes five additional hard spaces for 300 ton vessels, with multiple power (208, 240 and 480v) and water available for each slip.  Additionally, there is room for more than 30 20’ shipping containers/PODS for vessels and contractors as needed.
