IBEX Show In Tampa This September August 11, 2014

The annual marine industry technical trade event for boatbuilders, dealers, aftermarket suppliers and buyers, designers, repairers, surveyors, and boatyard/marine operators, moves to Tampa, FL September 30th to October 2nd . MIASF is organizing a bus for members who want to make the trip on September 30th, opening day, and leave the driving to someone else. The bus is scheduled to leave at 6:30 AM from the parking lot at 1000 W State Rd 84 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 and the return trip will leave at 7:15 PM from the Tampa Convention Center. The show closes at 6 PM and passengers are permitted the additional time to briefly network at the “Party with a Purpose” in the Sail Pavilion and enjoy cuisine from the Food Truck Rally before heading home. The International Boat Builders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) combines displays of new products, educational seminars, on-water demonstrations and industry networking and gathering events to leverage the value of attending. Held at the Tampa Convention Center, the conference attracts thousands of marine professionals and others who attend to see new products and services, advanced processes and innovations from over 500 exhibiting companies.
For the first time at IBEX, the event will feature marine engine manufacturers including Mercury Marine, Volvo Penta, Torqeedo Inc. and Honda Marine exhibiting in the dock space adjacent to the Convention Center. The exhibit hall will also feature the Composites Pavilion and the Education, Standards and Compliance Pavilion.

The IBEX Education Program, produced by Professional BoatBuilder magazine and NMMA, will offer several new features including an Exhibitor Workshop Theater on the show floor, On-The-Water Demonstrations, and dozens of relevant sessions including 56 technical seminars focusing on hot topics and issues. “The IBEX Seminar Series offers world-renowned technical education from fundamental skills to cutting-edge advanced training and is designed for shop floor crew, seasoned technicians, and company officers,” says AnneDunbar, IBEX show director. To launch the conference, legendary basketball coach Bob Knight will present a motivational speech on “Winning” at the annual Industry Breakfast on Tuesday. Thom Dammrich, NMMA president, will deliver the State of the Industry address followed by the presentation of four important industry awards including, The IBEX Innovation Awards, the NMMA Hall of Fame Award, the Exhibitor Video Awards, and the Boating Industry Movers & Shakers Award.
