Want to learn how your business can succeed and save money? The first-ever MIASF Better Business Series panel on Tuesday, August 25 at the Lauderdale Yacht Club will provide marine businesses cost-saving tips and valuable advice from several industry experts.

They are:

  • Walter Duke, Walter Duke + Partners – marine real estate and property valuations
  • Lisa Samuels/Jay Strauss, Evershore Financial – business valuations and exit strategies
  • Jamie Vay, Total Dollar Florida – insurance issues affecting marine businesses
  • Tony Treglia, Caribe Blu Business Engineering, HR issues affecting marine businesses

The panel will address a variety of issues specific to the marine industry, including recruiting skilled workers, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, issues related to longshoremen’s and flood insurance, succession planning strategies, hurdles for lenders for waterfront property, factors affecting the value of waterfront property and much more.

Registration for the event, which includes lunch, starts at 11:30, and the panel will begin at noon. Lauderdale Yacht Club is at 1725 S.E. 12th St., Fort Lauderdale. RSVPs are required.
