FLIBSgiving November 30, 2017

By all accounts, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was a big success this year. Having Informa as our partner helped propel the show forward in many ways, and we hope to see even more innovation and opportunity in the future, including early plans for a collaborative charitable event on opening night next year.

In fact, many charities were the beneficiaries of generous donations from multiple events held during FLIBS. For instance,
• The Boys and Toys event hosted by Northrop and Johnson raised $145,000 (and still counting!) for the Broward and Palm Beach County Kids in Distress organizations
• MIASF’s Exhibitor Party raised $1,000 for Marine Industries Cares Foundation
• SeaKeepers Founders 2017 raised approximately $93,000 for its foundation
• Bennett Auto Supply raised $57,000 through ticket sales, which benefitted HANDY and Sheridan House
• I’m Logan It raised more than $130,000 through its raffle of the Taco Marine Project Boat, with all proceeds benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and scholarships for deserving students
• National Marine’s White Dress Charity Gala raised $40,000 toward breast cancer awareness
