Committee approves MIASF officer, director nominations March 24, 2016
Pursuant to Article 7, Section 1 of the By-Laws of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, Inc., the Board of Directors has voted upon and approved the slate of Officers and Directors proposed by the Nominating Committee. The slate of nominees is as follows:
Officer Nominations (one-year term)
President: Danielle Butler, Luxury Law Group
Vice President: David Reed, The Triton
Treasurer/Secretary Jim Naugle, Jim Naugle & Company
Kristina Hebert, of Ward’s Marine Electric, will continue in the role of Immediate Past-President and will remain an Officer of the Board.
Director nominations for the five vacant directorships in alphabetical order (two-year terms):
Larry Acheson – Tow Boat US Fort Lauderdale
Amy Morley-Beavers – Maritime Professional Training
Phil Burgess – Pinmar USA, Inc.
Tim Davey – ISS/GMT Global Marine Travel
Walter B. Duke III – Walter Duke + Partners
Dean DuToit – National Marine Suppliers, Inc.
Bert Fowles – IGY Marinas
Ami Ira – CU Yacht Charters & Crew Unlimited
Ian MacDonald – Sea Vision by Underwater Lights USA
Jeff Strong – Tides Marine
Additionally, pursuant to Article 7, Section 2, additional Director and Officer nominations will be accepted from the general membership. Additional nominations must be delivered to the MIASF Office prior to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 8th. Each nomination for a Director must carry five signatures of bona fide regular members of the association. Each nomination for office of President, Vice President or Secretary/Treasurer requires: (1) the nominee be a current or former member of the MIASF Board of Directors; (2) an agreement to serve if elected; and (3) 10 signatures of bona fide regular members.
