Legislative Advocacy
MIASF carefully monitors, comments, supports or challenges government regulations or legislation that it has determined may have an impact on South Florida's recreational marine industry on the local, state and national levels. The Government Relations Committee, Board of Directors and the Association's government relations representatives in Florida's capital Tallahassee and in Washington D.C. are focused on a wide variety of issues to ensure that marine businesses are protected, or can benefit from governmental policies or actions.

Your company will appear in two business classifications in the Annual MIASF Membership Directory, as well as on our website www.miasf.org - Thousands of visitors to the website and thousands of directories are produced and distributed annually to help your business grow.

MIASF is the owner of the largest boat show in the world. The show focuses a spotlight on our South Florida marine industry, and brings thousands of qualified buyers to the area each year - MIASF's ability to lead an aggressive and innovative agenda on behalf of the membership and industry is in part as a result of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

It is the Association's policy to provide a Membership Directory or a list of names of MIASF members when specific requests are received for products or services. The Fort Lauderdale Int'l Boat Show

Fort Lauderdale, Florida will hosts the 52nd Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 27-31, 2011. Show exhibits range from yacht builders and designers to exotic cars and brokerage yachts. A wide variety of boats and sea vessels will be on display including runabouts, sportfishers, high performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, flats boats, skiffs, express cruisers, sailing yachts, motor yachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, inflatables, canoes, and extraordinary superyachts.

Covering five locations and over 3 million square feet of space, the show's transportation network of bus shuttles, water taxis, and riverboats ensures attendees can easily navigate the boat show and its expansive waterways system.Added attractions include The Blue Wild Dive Show, IGFA's School of Sportfishing and Hook the Future's Kids Fishing Clinics.
