Bahia Mar Reverting to South Florida Ownership July 30, 2014

There is exciting news from the commercial real estate world. Bahia Mar Yachting Center, headquarters for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), is transferring ownership to RCI Marine, Tate Capital, Rok Acquisitions, and Rialto Capital Management. RCI Marine has a long history of owning and operating multiple marinas including the Miami Beach Marina. Tate Capital is a South Florida-based family group with strong real estate knowledge and long history of investing in the local community and beyond. Rok Acquisitions is a well-known real estate investment group based in Miami. Rialto Capital Management is a fully integrated real estate investment and asset management company.

The new owners have indicated plans to embrace FLIBS and work with MIASF, the show owner, and Show Management, the show producer. Not only will the new owners continue to improve the show experience, but they will also develop more activity within the marina year-round.

Bahia Mar was owned by LXR Marinas, an affiliate of Blackstone Real Estate Advisors LP. LXR Marinas continues as a partner in FLIBS as owners of the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina and Pier 66 Marina. The company recently shared positive news indicating the Pier 66 marina construction project will be completed in time for the 2014 FLIBS.
